Position Description

The goal of an Orientation Leader is to convey important information about UNCW and assist new transfer students and their families with the transition from their previous learning institution to UNCW.  The members of the T-Team (Transfer Orientation Leaders) ensure that the Orientation Program is beneficial, exciting, and educational in its content and presentation.

Benefits

There are many benefits for students who pursue an Orientation Leader position. Most importantly, OL's gain significant leadership experiences, develop professional relationships with faculty, staff, and students, and acquire effective communication skills. This is a paid position plus all expenses paid to SROW in Clemson, SC, lodging through the May and June sessions, meals during Orientation, a T-Shirt, a Jacket and 2 OL polo shirts.

  Khaki pants or shorts must be purchased by the OL.

2013 T-Team

The goal of a Transfer Orientation Leader is to convey important information about UNCW and assist new transfer students and their families with the transition from their previous learning institution to UNCW.  The members of the T-Team (Transfer Orientation Leaders) ensure that the Orientation Program is beneficial, exciting, and educational in its content and presentation. Stay tuned for more information about becoming a member of our T-Team*.
The team will be picked in Spring 2013.

*Preference is given to transfer students.

Application Process

  • Applications are due by 5pm on April 1, 2013 to dorowa@uncw.edu
  • Applicants must attend an individual interview. Interviews will occur between April 2nd and 9th
  • An email will be sent to you. Applicants will be notified of selection by campus e-mail by April 10th.
