The Pat Leonard Student Recreation Center Aquatics Facility includes an Indoor Pool and a seasonal Outdoor Pool and Patio Deck.
The Indoor Pool is an 8-lane, 25-yard multipurpose facility designed to support a variety of aquatic fitness, instructional, and recreational activities. During open hours, participants can enjoy lap swimming and other aquatic opportunities in a welcoming environment. For added convenience, goggles, swim caps in various sizes, flotation equipment, swim fins, and towels are available for complimentary use.
The Outdoor Pool is a seasonal facility open from April through September and features a unique Seahawk-shaped design. This leisure pool offers built-in seating areas, relaxing bubble jets, and a spacious patio deck with plenty of furniture for lounging, studying, socializing, or taking a break between classes. Participants can also enjoy a variety of recreational activities, including cornhole, in-water Spikeball (SpikeBuoy), aqua volleyball, and aqua basketball, making it the perfect destination for both relaxation and fun.
UNCW Campus Recreation is committed to providing an accessible and inclusive aquatic experience. The Aquatics Facility features ADA-accessible single-use restrooms, automatic ADA doors leading to the Indoor Pool, and ADA-compliant pool chair lifts at both the Indoor and Outdoor Pools to support participant access and enjoyment of our facilities.
