Dr. Robert Boyce, Associate Professor of Exercise Science in the School of Health and Applied Human Sciences, CHHS is a recipient of the 2011 Chancellor’s Teaching Excellence Award. The purpose of the award is to recognize all aspects of excellence in teaching and in teaching-related activities that foster students' desire for lifetime learning and success.Dr. Boyce is an inspiring and energetic teacher who truly loves his work and delivers his lectures with a great sense of humor.One of many students who applauded his teaching wrote the following: “I am thankful for the preparation your class provided me for my future.Along with never forgetting how to kill a wooly mammoth and that collagen fibers are stronger than steel, you taught me about motivation. Your class was one of two 8 AM classes I took while at UCW and I absolutely loved having you brighten my morning!You are extremely passionate about your job and that has stuck with me throughout my time here.”
Recipients of the Chancellor's Teaching Excellence Awards receive a medallion to wear at official ceremonies (the University Convocations and Commencements), and a one-time stipend.
