A graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, Diane specializes in Professional Development Systems, Supervision, Curriculum Development, University/Public School Partnerships, Authentic Assessment, Math/Science/Technology Curriculum and Instruction and Elementary/Middle School education. Since joining the Watson School of Education, Diane has been a part of facilitating the growth of the Professional Development System to its current 10 county outreach and has presented on numerous occasions with other university faculty and public school teachers and administrators on the partnership around the country.

Karen Wetherill is a graduate of North Carolina State University with an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. Her areas of interest include Educational Leadership, Educational Reform, Educational Evaluation, Professional Development Systems, Learning Centered Supervision, Preservice and Inservice Teacher Development, University/Public School Partnerships, Educator Portfolios, and Special Education.

Patti is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received secondary teacher certification from the Peabody School of Education. After a career spanning over 30 years as a classroom teacher, Patti joined the university PDS team to provide a vital link between the university and the site coordinators and partnership teachers in our PDS schools. Having served in the latter part of her career as the site coordinator at New Hanover High School, Patti has a keen understanding of what is needed to effect the best possible partnership with the ultimate goals of assisting classroom teachers in their own professional growth and helping our students begin their careers with the tools they need to succeed as teachers.

Jeff Ertzberger is a Technology Liaison for the Watson School of Education. He holds a master's degree from Pepperdine University in Educational Technology and is currently working on a doctoral degree in Educational Technology. Jeff provides training and support to all members of the PDS partnership. It is Jeff's hope that we can equip intern teachers and inservice teachers with the knowledge and support they will need to use technology effectively in their classrooms.

Beth Allred is a nine year veteran mathematics teacher who earned her national board certification. She joins the Watson School as one of our two Emerging Technology Liaisons, working on faculty development, teaching in the undergraduate programs and serving our outreach efforts. Beth is a UNCW graduate in mathematics and received her MS in the MIT program.

Sarah is a current full-time graduate student in the Elementary Education program at UNCW.  In May of 2006, she earned her B.S. degree in Elementary Education at UNCW, with a minor in Psychology.
